Okay I'm getting to have more and more faith in convenience as a by-product of software, as evident by my increasing allotment of luxury time to the social software enterprise, blogs, learning html and so forth. But personal competency measured in megahertz to me seems like its going overboard.
For example who is to say because Billy's heartrate is up and is perspiring more than Suzy he may work better under these conditions? Specific to me, I for one don't feel that vital signs are all that vital in predicting my performance. I also would question the authority of a computer over my own gut instinct. The residual effect would be that the employee might start believing that excessive sweating and heart palpitations equates to a compromise of competence.
However I think I wouldn't mind having a personal detector as a means of gauging specific physical characteristics with competency outcome.
