Rupert Murdock's buying the communities

A while back I wrote about a buddy's book "Walmartrification of the Infoedutainment Industry" exploring the consolidation of media powers and how this is an impetus for making the under the sheets, raw material more raw, more intense and more formidable.  That is, while the fluffed and polished pop content gets more fluffed and polished, well the uncensored acquires a bigger bark and bite. 

Well look who's trying to shake hands with the fluff and the raw!He's buying the communities, spreading his scent under and over the covers of content.  How effectively will these Murdock injections diffuse into the communities bloodstream's?  Well for those interested in preserving the purity of media take refuge in knowing there are a multitude of sheets under those covers that separate the fluff from the raw. 

Audience question

Hey I know my blog traffic doesn't moo until the cows come home but it's just big enough to render me extremely curious as to whether there is someone out there that reads my blog religiously that I don't know at all.  I'd love to get to know my audience as small and humbling as it may be.

New times ahead

I've officially started at GameDaily in downtown San Francisco...vacation days are over.  I was enjoying my time surfing and bumming it while it lasted.  I'll be training in New York for the next week or so, so if you are a loyal blog reader and live in Manhattan and see me in a bathroom or an alley or the street you can really freak me out if you stop me and say you know me. 

Just so I can add some value that isn't completely fluff I'll say a lot of my new job will be dealing with website traffic and delegating advertising to the parameters of a site's traffic.  This makes me think about how it will affect my day to day life as I inevitably will follow my historical proclivity to translate my job or hobby into a metaphor for looking at my lifestyle and surroundings.
